Prairie Days

Dear Families,

It’s almost time for our Prairie Days celebration! The date is Friday, May 20th – the day after our much anticipated field trip to the Hornbine School. Please join us on the Farmhouse Field from 11:00 – 1:15.

You are responsible for bringing:
• a blanket
• a picnic lunch for you and your child

Singing and dancing begins at 11:00. Your child will join you for lunch at 11:30. From 12:00-1:00 the excitement begins! In order to make the day run smoothly, we need quite a bit of parent help. Here are some tasks that are up for grabs:

Group leaders (6 total)
This person is responsible for taking a group of four or five students from station to station.

Station leaders (2 per station, 12 total)

The stations last approx. 12 minutes each. In total, six groups of students will visit your station. Once you sign up, we will give you simple directions and we will gather the supplies for you.
The stations are:
• Playing Handball
• Making sachets
• Building wooden boats
• Running an ice cream social
• Tinsmithing

Please respond to Steve, Kelly or Jodi if you are available to help in any capacity, and note what you would like to be responsible for.

Thank you so much for everything you do for us!!! – Steve, Kelly & Jodi
