Give Peace a Chance!

Peace Day was a huge success! All classes in grades K-5 read the book "The Three Questions". We discovered that the 3 big questions in life are:

1) Who is the most important one?
2) What is the right thing to do?
3) When is the best time to do it?

And the answers are....

1) The person you are with.
2) Do whatever that person needs help with.
3) The best time to do it is right now.

With this book guiding us, we were able to come together to celebrate Peace day (a day of suspended fighting, started by Jeremy Gilley and acknowledged by the United Nations). We created kites and flew them in honor of the day. Each grade came up with a pledge to work on for the year. The 4th grade pledge is:

We will try our best to make peace real. We will share and we will be fair.

More pictures will come, but I hope you like this one!
