We completed one part of a multiplication unit and had a test today. We practiced looking at problems, copying them onto graph paper, showing our work and selecting the multiple choice answer that matched. Wonderful job, everyone!
It is that time in your child's academic career that they begin ...... long division!
When you see homework come home, don't stress. The way that you learned long division is the same way your child will be doing it. In class we will focus on the concepts through the use of Stern materials. Because this is a big topic, it will be reviewed consistently throughout the year. And even though it is a little early to be thinking about winter vacation, please feel free to practice over the break.
I am looking forward to starting a new phase in mathematics!
